    Frequently asked questions about Gleamz Cleaning

    How long is a cleaning session?

    Our minimum cleaning session is two hours but you can have that as often or as little as you need - it could be weekly, two weekly or four weekly as needed by you.

    How do I pay?

    You generally pay the cleaner in cash each time they come.  You can pay the agency fee either in cash or by BACS, standing order or direct debit. If you prefer not to pay cash to the cleaner, we can arrange for you to pay their fee by BACS to our Client Account to be held on their behalf by us.

    Do you do one off cleaning?

    Yes we do.  Many of our customers just require our services for one off cleaning such as End of Tenancy or Spring Cleaning. For one off cleaning we require a deposit in advance to secure the booking.

    Will I always get the same cleaner?

    We will introduce you to cleaners we thing are right for you.  If you are happy with the cleaner or cleaners we introduce to you, that cleaner will then be assigned for your regular cleaning.  Another cleaner will come only if your cleaner is sick or absent.

    Do I need to leave instructions for the cleaner?

    We recommend that you give cleaners clear instructions about the tasks you require completing expecially when they are new to you or if it is a one off clean.

    What happens if I need to cancel a clean?

    We ask that you notify our office at least 7 days in advance of any cancellations and we will agree to cancel or reschedule your clean.  For cancellations less than 3 days in advance, Gleamz reserve the right to make the following charges:

     

    • Less than 24 hours notice 100% service charge
    • Less than 72 hours notice 50% service charge

    In the event that access to your property can't be gained by the gleamz cleaners because of your failure to make reasonable arrangements, we reserve the right to charge 100% of the fee for that session.

     

    In the event that a one off clean is cancelled, any deposit paid will be non-refundable if the cancellation is made with less than 72 hrs notice.

    Do I need to supply equipment and cleaning products?

    No.  Our cleaners will bring all necessary eco-friendly cleaning products with them.  If required, we will also ensure they bring equipment such as vacuum cleaners, mops and buckets at no additional charge.

    Are you covered by insurance?

    Gleamz carries full public liability insurance.

    Do I need to be home when the cleaner comes?

    No. Our cleaners are trusted key holders for customers. If you choose to give them a key, they can visit at a time to suit you whether or not you are home. Alternatively, you may choose to be there when they arrive and then leave them to lock up when they finish.

    How much does your cleaning service cost?

    Minimum charge for our regular cleaning service is for two hours cleaning.  For one off cleaning our minimum charge is £39.00. For oven cleaning we charge £45 minimum. Carpet cleaning prices are available on request and are dependent on condition of carpets and cleaning method to be used.
